AUSTIN, Texas — It's true, not every homeless person wants a spot in a shelter. However, many do and can't seem to find a spot.
KVUE collected numbers from various shelters on Monday in Austin to see how many options there are for people who are looking for shelter.
The 2019 Point in Time Count found 1,086 unsheltered homeless people, which is almost a 63% increase from the 667 found in 2015.
