Keep Austin Local: Atomic Tattoo

Get some new ink while supporting local!

KVUE wants to help “Keep Austin Local” by highlighting the local businesses, events and people that make Austin special.

On Monday, KVUE stopped by Atomic Tattoo, a tattoo shop that’s been in Austin since 1992.

Atomic Tattoo is a family-owned-and-operated business that started with one shop. It now has five locations.

Justin Timming, the general manager for all Atomic locations, joined his dad at Atomic Tattoo in 1998 after spending six years in the Marine Corps. He’s a full-time body piercer and part-time tattoo artist.

All artists at Atomic Tattoo are independent contractors. They take appointments and also take walk-ins.

“Going to a tattoo studio is no different than patronizing a good restaurant. You are the customer and we want to make your experience the best one we possibly can,” its website states.

You can find a list of artists, their locations and links to their Instagram profiles on the Atomic website.
