BEE CAVE, Texas — U.S. Marshals have arrested the suspect in an aggravated home invasion robbery in western Travis County, the sheriff's office said Monday.
In the late morning hours of Feb. 11, a woman living in the 12200 block of Lake Stone Drive was bound and robbed at gunpoint by a man who entered her home, the Travis County Sheriff's Office said. TCSO said last week that the suspect entered the home through an open garage and an unlocked door.
TSCO said evidence has led detectives to believe that the victim was targeted by the suspect as she shopped for groceries at a local store. Parking lot and neighborhood surveillance footage showed the suspect follow the victim home.
Using video footage and witness testimony, detectives were able to identify the suspect's vehicle and its owner. TCSO said a recent traffic citation involving the vehicle led to the identity of an additional driver, Andra Lacarlus Allen, whose personal information and driver's license photo matched the victim's description of the suspect and the video footage captured inside the grocery store.
People who spoke anonymously with KVUE said Allen once worked at a martial arts studio in Steiner Ranch and Lakeway, where he even taught self-defense classes for women.
TCSO said U.S. Marshals arrested Allen Monday afternoon. His bond has been set at $150,000.
If you have any information about Allen and his activities, call the TCSO tipline at 512-854-1444.
