Suspect arrested in Travis County home invasion robbery

The incident happened on Tuesday in western Travis County just outside of Bee Cave.

TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas — The Travis County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) has arrested the suspect in a home invasion robbery that happened in a neighborhood in western Travis County on Tuesday.

The suspect entered the home through an open garage and an unlocked door, TSCO said. TCSO posted this message on social network Nextdoor last week:

"Yesterday morning a home invasion robbery took place in your area. The suspect made entry through an open garage and an unlocked door. We are actively investigating the incident to determine if the act was random or if the residents were targeted and followed home. At this time, we have no reason to believe you are in any danger. We do encourage you to be aware of your surroundings and put your garage door down when you return home. If you have any information, please call our tip line at 512-854-1444."

On Friday, the sheriff's office told KVUE it was the only agency working the case.

On Monday, TCSO said U.S. Marshals had arrested a suspect, Andra Lacarlus Allen, in connection to the incident.

KVUE spoke to several neighbors on Friday who said they still feel safe in the neighborhood.

“I hope they find the person and I feel sorry for the person it happened to," said Brian Decou. “This is a wonderful place to have kids grow up in and the school district’s amazing, and I like it here, love it."

If you have any information about Allen and his activities, call the TCSO tipline at 512-854-1444.
