AUSTIN, Texas — A ridge of high pressure is building back into Central Texas, which will keep summertime heat rolling on.
In fact, we could possibly add some triple-digit days to the tally this week with highs in the upper 90s and close to 100 through the entire week.
One silver lining could be a drop in the humidity late in the week due to a frontal boundary but, again, air temperatures will still be scorching hot. The weekend looks mostly dry, but afternoon highs may dip slightly closer to average with mid-90s in the forecast for Saturday and Sunday. Slight rain chances return to the forecast on Sunday.
We'll be monitoring the chance of increased rain chances next week as we track tropical moisture moving in from the Gulf of Mexico.
