Does it Work: Is the 'Sink Angel' as angelic as it seems?

Is the "Sink Angel" as godly as it seems, or is it just a devil in disguise?

AUSTIN -- Between makeup, hair products, blow dryers and everything else, your bathroom counter top may be a cluttered mess.

That's where one product comes in, claiming it's heaven-sent to give you the space you need.

We put the "Sink Angel" to the test on Does It Work Wednesday.

Sink Angel is a stick-on bathroom sink mat that promises to keep your counter clean, organized and clutter-free.

Just stick it over your sink and triple your counter space.

But is this angel really the answer to your space-deprived prayers?

Sink Angel is a piece of fabric encased in plastic, with a pretty purple ribbon and suction cups.

To install Sink Angel, simply press down at each suction cup contact point.

Sink Angel says it works on all types of sinks. But the one in the KVUE bathroom apparently didn't get that memo.

It takes a few minutes to get all of the suction cups to stick. But when we put items on top of the Sink Angel, it sags and falls into the sink.

The suction cups are too weak to hold Sink Angel in place.

We tried wetting the suction cups, placing them at different points around the sink, even hanging the product up on different surfaces around the bathroom ... no luck. It just didn't work.

Sink Angel is a devil in disguise -- a nice idea, but it's suction power isn't up to the task. This product gets a thumbs down.

You can find Sink Angel at Fry's. It costs about $10.
