Dry, breezy conditions move in for the rest of the weekend in Central Texas

Scattered showers and thunderstorms moved across Central Texas this morning, but drier conditions will move in this afternoon.

AUSTIN, Texas — Central Texas dealt with strong winds, hail, heavy rain and even a possible tornado on Saturday morning, but drier weather is moving in for this afternoon.

Around 1 p.m. we started to see the severe threat diminish in Central Texas and shift east.

The rest of Saturday will bring highs in the 60s and 70s with partly cloudy to mostly clear sky overhead.

The forecast looks great for the Orange and White game at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium at 6:30 p.m.

Storms should be out by the University of Texas spring game.

If you have any afternoon events, expect breezy conditions with west winds anywhere from 10-20 mph.
