Forecast: Hot & humid Tuesday; small chance for Hill Country strong storms

Here are the latest updates from the KVUE Weather Team.

AUSTIN, Texas — On Tuesday afternoon, the high will be in the low 90s, but the "feels like" temperature will be approximately 99 degrees. Wednesday will likely be the hottest day of the week with a high near 93 degrees and a "feels like" temperature in the triple digits.

There is now a small chance for an isolated strong to severe storm across the Hill Country Tuesday afternoon and evening. These storms may not form at all, but if storms can develop along the dry line west of I-35 they could be strong.

A cold front moves through Thursday with another 20% chance for rain and storms. While not widespread, if storms form they could also be severe. This front will drop our temperatures noticeably for Friday and the weekend with highs in the low 80s or even upper 70s. The weekend does not look like a washout, but we could see the return of isolated shower and storm chances by Saturday and Sunday.
