Texas Longhorns hosting Texas A&M, Indiana, Texas Southern in Austin for NCAA baseball tournament

This will be the first time the Longhorns will host a regional since 2011.

AUSTIN -- For the ninth time since 2002, the Texas baseball program will host one of college baseball’s regional tournaments.

The NCAA announced the 16 regional host sites Sunday evening and confirmed which teams would be coming to the Texas Capital Monday morning. This will be the first time the Longhorns will host a regional since 2011.

Texas, the 2018 Big 12 regular season champions, is the top seed in the four-team regional that includes second seed Indiana, third seed Texas A&M and fourth seed Texas Southern. The Longhorns played against Texas A&M at a regional in Houston in 2014, and they have played against them during their regular season since then.

The Longhorns are the 13th overall seed in the NCAA tournament. This would match them with the fourth overall seed, Ole Miss, if both teams move on to the super regional.

The other 15 regional hosts include Georgia, UNC, Clemson, CCU, Oregon State, Stetson, Arkansas, Florida, ECU, Texas Tech, Minnesota, Ole Miss, North Carolina State, Stanford, and FSU.
