Report: Nick Foles gets 4-year, $88M contract in Jacksonville

The former Super Bowl MVP has reportedly cashed in as free agent.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Former Super Bowl MVP Nick Foles, who played high school ball at Westlake, has reportedly agreed to a four-year, $88 million contract with Jacksonville.

The NFL Network was the first to report the agreement. The NFL's new fiscal year begins this week and that's when free agents can sign with teams.

Foles had ups and downs with the Eagles, Rams and Chiefs before getting another chance in Philadelphia and making the most of it as Carson Wentz's backup. He filled in after Wentz was hurt in 2017 and 2018, winning four playoff games. That included last year's Super Bowl when Foles was named MVP.

Foles isn't the only free agent with Austin ties to agree to a new contract. Former Longhorn defensive back Kenny Vaccaro will stay with Tennessee, getting a four-year deal worth $26 million.

Vaccaro has signed just a one-year contract last year, hoping to parlay it into a long-term deal.
