Longhorns wins Game 2, series with 6-5 win over Louisiana

After claiming game one in extra innings on Friday, Texas held on for a 6-5 victory against the Ragin' Cajuns Saturday afternoon in Lafayette, LA.

LAFAYETTE, La. — The Texas baseball team was back in action in the season opening series against Louisiana.

After claiming game one in extra innings on Friday, Texas held on for a 6-5 victory against the Ragin' Cajuns Saturday afternoon in Lafayette, LA.

The dagger was the fifth inning when Texas posted a 5-spot. 

Louisiana countered with four runs in the bottom of the frame.

But, the Longhorns were able to hold them off for the win to claim the the series.

Texas and Louisiana will meet for the series finale Sunday. First pitch slated for 1 p.m.
