AUSTIN, Texas — Progressive Group of Insurance Companies announced on Thursday they will be hiring more than 10,000 people over the next year with 1,000 of those hires occurring in Austin.
Progressive stated there will be not only jobs filled at field claims offices, but also jobs that offer the ability to work from home in the company's biggest hiring year ever.
The company stated the jobs open in the Austin area will be customer service, sales, claims representatives and bilingual Spanish sales.
“This is the largest hiring forecast in Progressive’s history,” said Lori Niederst, Chief Human Resources Officer. “We are excited to add hardworking talent to our team who are interested in a career with Progressive. For decades, we’ve been developing people who started in jobs like these into successful business athletes who rise to our leadership ranks. In fact, our CEO started as a Claims rep and I joined Progressive as an Analyst."
