Pflugerville's London Clarkson is ready for Florida State

Clarkson caught the attention of several recruiters. But for her, one school stood above the rest.

From the moment Pflugerville Lady Panther London Clarkson made her first basket, she knew she had found her passion.

"I just scored, and it was the best feeling in the world. So, I knew I fell in love with it," Clarkson said.

She took that passion and went to work.

"The lesson that my mom and Coach Steve has taught me is to work hard, and if I do what I need to do, I'l get what I want. So, that's what I live by day to day," she said.

Countless buckets later, she caught the attention of several recruiters.

"The recruiting process was kind-of stressful because there's so many schools that want to talk to you every day, and you have to learn to live with it and put it onto your life, go around it, make phone calls and learn how to talk to coaches," Clarkson said.

But one school stood above the rest.

"I knew Florida State was for me."

In November, Clarkson made it official by signing her National Letter of Intent.

"I'm just so thankful for everyone here. It's a great experience," Clarkson said. "I'm really happy."

Happy, but not satisfied. Clarkson said she's ready to win a championship.

But before she jets off to the "Sunshine State," a championship is possible with Pflugerville.

"We all need to be on the same page, and we're honestly doing it," Clarkson said. "We're working really good together. I'm excited for the year."

The Lady Panthers are ranked 19th in the state with a shot at the district title.

Pending a state championship run, Clarkson may hit those Florida beaches with some bling.
