AUSTIN — A variety of food and drink options are set to open soon at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport.

From alcoholic beverages to smoothies and Southern-style food, these new options in the East Food Court will offer a variety of choices for travelers.

The Hippies & Hops bar will serve locally crafted beer flavors along with nationally recognized beer and wines. On the other hand, Juiceland will offer healthier drinks including cold-pressed bottled juices, fresh smoothies and cleanses.

Grab a bite to eat at The Peached Tortilla, a local retro eatery that serves Southern and Asian-style foods. Their more popular menu items include the Banh Mi tacos with Vietnamese-braised pork belly and their JapaJam burger with a fried egg and tempura onion strings.

These three new food selections will be located across gates 7 through 8.

ABIA is also in the process of a 9-gate expansion of the Barbara Jordan Terminal. A sneak peek video of the expansion that was shared on YouTube shows the construction of the terminals from gates 24 through 33.

New stores that are currently available for travelers to use include the Barton Springs Dry Goods and Ruta Maya coffee which are located inside the Barbara Jordan Terminal near Gate 5.

The Barton Springs store offers Western apparel, jewelry, traveling essentials and more while Ruta Maya offers specialty coffee in medium, dark and espresso roasts.

East Side Pies will be joining Amy's Ice Cream, Flyrite Chicken and Hat Creek Burger Company later this year as part of the renovation of the West Food Court at ABIA. East Side Pies is known for their thin-crust specialty pizzas and homemade sauces made from Texas-sourced meats from Austin-area farmers.
