AUSTIN, Texas — Travis County Judge Sarah Eckhardt and Wendy Davis announced a sexual assault prevention and healing work group Tuesday afternoon.

“Our community must do more to prevent sexual assault, hold perpetrators of sexual assault accountable, and aid in healing personal trauma from sexual assault,” said Travis County Judge Sarah Eckhardt. “Wendy Davis has been working on this issue at the state and national level for many years, both in her role as a State Senator, and now as the leader of a non-profit, Deeds Not Words. With her leadership and experience, I am confident all interested parties can come together, put down their swords and return to common purpose.”

The announcement of the new group was held at the Travis County Administration Building at 12 p.m. in Austin. You can watch the announcement below.
