All clear given after second bomb threat reported at ACC South Austin Campus

The campus dealt with two bomb threats on Wednesday.

AUSTIN, Texas — Police investigated two separate reported bomb threats at Austin Community College's South Austin campus on Wednesday.

On Wednesday morning, ACC said its police force was investigating a reported threat at the campus on West Stassney Lane. The campus was evacuated for several hours, and all classes and activities were canceled until further notice.

By 2 p.m., police had cleared the campus. ACC said no devices were found. Students, faculty and staff were able to reoccupy the building, and classes and activities resumed on their normal schedules.

Then around 5:30 p.m., police evacuated and closed the campus again due to a second reported bomb threat. The all-clear for that threat was issued just before 6:30 p.m.

All of ACC's other campuses operated on normal schedules Wednesday and were not locked down at any point.
