AUSTIN, Texas — While extreme heat plagues the majority of Central Texas, a few lucky folks could see a little relief from a shower or storm Tuesday afternoon.
A large conglomerate of showers and storms shifted across the Dallas area early on Tuesday, and a few high-resolution models keep that rain moving south throughout the afternoon, meaning Hill Country folks could feel a light shower pass by.
Later in the day, as winds shift from the southwest to the southeast, the sea breeze incoming from the Gulf of Mexico could also spark a few stronger storms in the south and east corridor of the KVUE viewing area.
If a couple of storms do develop, they are not expected to be within the severe threshold. Gusty winds and brief downpours will be the main threats.
The main area for active weather will stay off to the north for Tuesday, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that isolated moisture could trickle into Central Texas too.
