Area-wide freeze Saturday night

Expect to wake up to another round of freezing temperatures Sunday morning. A gradual warming trend this upcoming week.

AUSTIN, Texas — If you have evening plans, you'll want the jacket. After a day with temperatures climbing into the 40s and 50s, temperatures will quickly fall again this evening and overnight into the 30s. By Sunday morning, lows will once again fall into the 20s, but the afternoon will be beautiful in the mid-50s area-wide with plenty of sun.

With the cold temperatures expected overnight Saturday night into your Sunday morning, make sure to continue with your cold weather preps to protect people, pipes, pets and plants.

Next week is looking uneventful and we're not complaining at all! A few weak fronts could bring a shift in wind direction but not much more. Afternoon highs and morning lows both gradually warm through the week with highs near 70 degrees by next Friday.
