AUSTIN, Texas — All northbound lanes of Interstate 35 near Rutherford Lane in North Austin were closed after a deadly crash on Saturday morning.
According to Austin-Travis County EMS, the incident happened at around 5:50 a.m.
Drivers were told to expect heavy traffic delays as lanes remain closed after US 183.
First responders said an 18-wheeler and a pickup truck collided in the 8200 block of the North I-35 northbound service road. The driver of the pickup truck, 44-year-old Sara Jo Gamond, died at the scene.
