Westlake's Justin Tucker teaches a lesson about accountability with Baltimore Ravens

As a teammate with the Westlake Chaparrals and Texas Longhorns, Justin Tucker hadn't missed a kick. That streak continued with the Baltimore Ravens until their game against the New Orleans Saints.

BALTIMORE — Justin Tucker was perfect kicking extra points as a Longhorn. He hadn't missed one since his high school days at Westlake.

And the streak continued in the NFL as a placekicker with the Baltimore Ravens, until his chance to tie the game against New Orleans with time running out.

Not only did the miss cost his team a chance to win, but it put Tucker all over social media with people making GIFs of his reaction.

When times are tough and things aren't going your way, it's easy to run and hide. But Tucker made a point after the game on Sunday to find the Ravens' PR person and go into the postgame room to address the media.

“You play long enough, you’re going to have a kick that you want back, and tonight was that night for me,” Tucker said. “Like Joe [Flacco] said, the only thing you can do is just go to work and try to make the best of a bad situation.”

Tucker said he was taught to be accountable and this was the way to do it. And several teammates joined him for support.

“The guys in that locker room that have my back, that means the world to me,” Tucker said.

Now the Pro Bowl kicker has to forget about the miss and move on.

Baltimore plays at Carolina this Sunday.
