Suspect identified, arrested in North Austin stabbing

AUSTIN, Texas — Austin police responded to a stabbing call at the 8600 block of N. Lamar on Tuesday at 11:24 a.m.

According to police, the victim was sitting in a parking lot when the suspect, Futur Shaw, 18, approached him and three witnesses stating he was going to kill someone.

Police stated Shaw pulled out a folding knife and opened it, kicked the victim in the head and proceeded to to stab the victim in the back.

The Austin Police Department tweeted the victim was transported from the scene with serious injuries and the victim and Shaw are known to each other.

Austin EMS tweeted was transported to a local trauma center with life threatening injuries.

Shaw has been arrested for aggravated assault, a second degree felony.
