Some Travis County voters face delay at polling place due to data issue; clerk's office says issue is resolved

The issue was reported at the Ce-Bar Fire Department on Commons Ford Road. According to the clerk's office, it impacted about 1% of registered voters.

TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas — The Travis County Clerk's Office says a data issue that caused a delay for some voters early Tuesday morning has been resolved.

KVUE received a tip about an issue with the voting system at the Ce-Bar Fire Department on Commons Ford Road, in the Bee Cave area, shortly after polls opened on Election Day, March 5. The tipster said workers were unable to check voters' registration and some voters were being asked to come back later to vote.

At 10:50 a.m., the Travis County Clerk's Office told KVUE it had been made aware of a data issue Tuesday morning that impacted about 1% of registered voters. The clerk's office said its team "quickly identified the issue and pushed out a solution."

According to the clerk's office, voters who had an issue while checking in to vote were asked to wait while the solution was implemented and were offered the option to vote provisionally if they were unable to wait.

As of 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, the clerk's office said the issue has been fully resolved.
