8% of Travis County voters cast their ballot so far during early voting for November election

As of Nov. 3, around 70,000 ballots had been cast as early voting continues.

AUSTIN, Texas — Early voting kicked off on Monday, Oct. 23, in the November election as Central Texans decide on 14 state propositions and local ballot propositions.

As of Friday, Nov. 3, around 8% of eligible Travis County voters cast their ballot during the early voting period. The Travis County Clerk's Office shows that a total of 70,064 votes were cast. That amounts to 7.92% of registered voters.

Out of those, 3,050 mail-in ballots were counted. Twenty-nine limited ballots had been counted.

Early voting for the election ended on Friday, Nov. 3. Election Day is on Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Central Texans are casting ballots to decide on Texas constitutional amendments, as well as local propositions and more, depending on where you live. 

The last day to register to vote in the Nov. 7 election was Oct. 10, but you can check online to see if you are currently registered.
