Deputies seeking information after NW Travis County shooting leaves one critically injured

Officials said the victim has not been able to provide any information in regards to the shooting.

TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas — The Travis County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) is seeking a suspect after a man was critically injured in a shooting on the 22100 Block of Shotts Drive in Northwest Travis County on Sunday evening.

Officials said there was a 911 call made at 7:57 p.m. on Jan 27, and a 27-year-old male victim was airlifted by STAR Flight. TCSO believes from evidence at the scene that it was not a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and told KVUE they do not have a suspect in custody at this time.

The victim has not been able to communicate to officials about what happened.

"Because we do not have a suspect, we can not say for certain that this was an isolated incident, and we do not know whether or not the public is in any further danger," a TCSO spokesperson said. "We have a specific window of time that we need help getting information on. The hours between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. last night are crucial to us. If someone saw something unusual in this neighborhood we're asking for them to call us."

Officials are encouraging anyone with a tip to call: 512-854-1444, or email: majorcrimestips@traviscountytx.gov.
