AUSTIN -- Two sex offenders on the Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders list were arrested Thursday, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Daniel Carroll Wright, 58, and Mack Houston, Jr., 53, were both arrested on March 12. Wright was arrested in Beaumont, Texas, Houston was arrested in Arkansas.

Agents with the DPS Criminal Investigations Division said tips helped locate and arrest Wright without incident. The person who provided the tip will be paid $3,000. Wright was wanted for failure to comply with the sex offender registration, and for parole violation.

Members of the Tri-County Task Force, led by the U.S. Marshal, arrested Houston in Stuttgart, Arkansas. Houston was wanted for failure to register as a sex offender. The arrest was the result of a tip, but the reward will not be paid.

In 2015, DPS and other agencies have arrested eight of Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives and Sex Offenders, including seven sex offenders, and one gang member.

Approximately $13,500 in rewards have been paid for tips resulting in the arrests of the fugitives.
