Two men accused of raping woman at knifepoint at Austin park in 'very violent' case

A woman told police she was held at knifepoint before she was raped by two men in an Austin park.

AUSTIN — Two men have been arrested after a woman claims she was held at knifepoint and raped by them in a park in East Austin.

On Dec. 21, the victim went to a park located at 6705 Crystalbrook Drive near U.S. 183 and Loyola Lane at around 6:30 p.m. While she was at the park, police said two men -- identified as 58-year-old David Green and 19-year-old Kyle Kenoski -- approached her and started talking to her.

At some point, Green walked away. Police said a short time later, Green quickly approached her from behind, wrapped her hair around his hand and held a knife to her throat. He asked for her phone and told her to walk toward the back of the park. Green then allegedly told her to undress herself and lie down. He then raped her, police said.

Afterward, police said Green told Kenoski that he could "do whatever he wanted to" her. Kenoski then allegedly raped her.

Police said Green later put some type of a cord around her neck. Officers asked her how tight the cord was pulled on a scale of one to 10 -- "10 being to the point of unconscious and not breathing." She reportedly said it was a seven.

She told officers that she pleaded with the suspects to not kill her. The suspects allegedly sexually assaulted her once again before telling her to go to the bathroom and wait for five minutes.

She then called her boyfriend and 911 and explained what she said happened.

According to the affidavit, her boyfriend searched the area. By explaining what the suspects looked like to people in the area, her boyfriend was able to get their names. He looked them up on Facebook and found pictures of the two suspects.

During a press Thursday afternoon, police said a sexual assault exam was done on the victim and that they will compare the DNA results when they come in. Police added they are looking into other cases with similar motives. It is not clear at this time if the two suspects knew each other.

Both Green and Kenoski face a charge of aggravated sexual assault, a first-degree felony, according to Austin police.
