Austin police have identified the 14-year-old boy who died from his injuries after being struck by a vehicle in northwest Austin late Tuesday.
Austin police said the crash happened at the intersection of Spicewood Springs Road and Rustic Rock Drive, west-southwest of U.S. 183 and McNeil Drive and Spicewood Springs Road. Austin-Travis County EMS said the crash happened around 10:15 p.m.
Alexei Baureis was walking his bicycle at the time of the crash, and he was taken to Round Rock Medical Center. He later died from his injuries.
The driver stopped at the scene after the crash. Police have not said if any charges will be filed against the driver yet.

The crash is Austin's 30th fatal traffic crash of 2016.
