A woman has been arrested after a stabbing at a North Austin apartment complex on Tuesday afternoon.
Police were called to the incident at the 12000 block of Walnut Park Crossing at around 2:35 p.m.
A man had been stabbed after a family disturbance, police said.
The man in his 30s was transported to a local trauma center with serious injuries, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
SWAT responded after it was discovered the female suspect had a knife. SWAT ultimately used distractionary measures to get her to come out and take her into custody.
She has been transported to the Travis County Jail with charges pending for aggravated assault family violence.
Police were unaware of any others in the apartment at the time of the incident. They said the woman in custody was the only suspect.
