Police: Man shoots, kills father in Bell County

A 36-year-old man was arrested Monday afternoon following a family disturbance in Bell County that left one man dead.

ID=22105735MOFFAT, Texas – A 36-year-old man was arrested Monday afternoon following a family disturbance in Bell County that left one man dead.

According to the Bell County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to a family disturbance on the 14000 block of Kuykendall Mountain Road at 2:20 p.m. The caller told responding deputies that the person causing the disturbance had left the scene.

The suspect, 36-year-old Brian Ingram, returned home a short time later and told deputies he had shot someone. Deputies took him into custody and located 67-year-old Jerry Ingram dead at the end of the driveway.

Investigators took Brian into custody. As of Monday evening no charges have been filed.

The Bell County Sheriff's Office said deputies were dispatched to that same location March 8 for a family disturbance call. No arrests were made in that call.
