AUSTIN — Weeks after being struck by a vehicle near the Barton Creek Greenbelt, a 15-year-old has died.
Jesus Servantez was walking in the center lane in the 3600 block of the South Capital of Texas Highway southbound when he was hit by a car. The driver remained on scene and reportedly told police he did not see Servantez before crashing into him.
With CPR in progress, Servantez was transported to St. David's South with life-threatening injuries on Jan. 8. Police said he succumbed to his injuries on Monday.
No charges are expected to be filed, according to Austin police.
