One dead in Leander crash

LEANDER, Texas — A woman is dead and a man is injured after a two-car crash in Leander on Saturday morning.

The crash happened at the intersection of Ronald Reagan Boulevard and FM 2243 at around 9:50 a.m.

A 46-year-old man was driving an SUV when it left the lane and struck another SUV, killing a 36-year-old woman, police said.

The extent of the man’s injuries are not known.

Police did not say whether the crash was weather-related.

No charges have been made in the investigation.

Identities will not be released until next-of-kin have been notified.
