The Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested a man accused of sexually abusing a child after he barricaded himself inside his home Tuesday, officials said.

According to the U.S. Marshals Service, Raul Martinez-Quintero, 37, was arrested in the 3300 block of Parker Lane, wanted by the Austin Police Department on charges of continuous sexual abuse of a young child, a first-degree felony.

Officials reported that task force officers surrounded his home and instructed Martinez-Quintero to come out of the residence. He reportedly came outside and quickly retreated back in, where he barricaded himself for approximately 30 minutes. After continuous verbal instruction for him to surrender and comply with law enforcement, officials said he was detained without incident.

Martinez-Quintero was booked in the Travis County Jail. His bond was set at $250,000.

The U.S. Marshals Service reported that the suspect is a Mexican national who has been deported on three occasions for illegal entry into the U.S. -- twice in 2014 and once in 2017.

According to an affidavit for his arrest, the victim reported the man had sexually abused her numerous times since 2013.
