AUSTIN, Texas — One person is dead after a house fire in North Austin on Saturday morning.
According to the Austin Fire Department (AFD), crews were sent to the house in the 11000 block of Indianhead Drive, off Interstate 35 and East Braker Lane, around 1:20 a.m.
One adult victim was pulled from the burning house in cardiac arrest, Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) said. Medics performed life-saving measures, but the person was pronounced dead on the scene.
Fire crews stayed on the scene to put out the fire and ventilate the structure.
