'Get your vote on' KVUE's Ashley Goudeau wants Central Texas residents to get out and vote

Election Day is getting closer and KVUE's Ashley Goudeau wants to remind you that your vote counts.

CENTRAL TEXAS — On this weeks segment of 'Agree or Disagree with Ashley' KVUE's Ashley Goudeau wants you to get out and vote.

"It blows my mind, when I constantly hear people say, 'I don't vote.'" said Goudeau.

Goudeau stated she thinks people don't vote because they think that it doesn't matter or that it doesn't make a difference.

"These are the midterms, baby." said Goudeau. "There is no electoral college, you get to pick the lawmakers, you get to pick your city council member, you get to pick your mayor."

Goudeau said it 100% makes a difference when you get out to vote.

"The thing about lawmakers, the thing about politicians, is you have the power to fire them." stated Goudeau. "You're the one that gets to hold them accountable."
