Man, woman found dead after SWAT responds to gunshots in Cedar Park

The Cedar Park Police Department said the incident is being investigated as a murder-suicide.

CEDAR PARK, Texas — A shelter-in-place order in Cedar Park has been lifted after a SWAT situation that lasted from late Saturday night until very early Sunday morning.

According to the Cedar Park Police Department, officers responded to the 200 block of Fawnfield Drive around 10:50 p.m. for reports of gunshots.

When officers arrived, they found a woman dead in her car in the driveway with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police said a possible suspect was inside the home at the time. A shelter-in-place alert was sent out to neighbors surrounding that home.

Just before 2 a.m., officials said SWAT entered the house and found a man dead inside.

The CPPD said the incident is being investigated as a murder-suicide.
