BUDA, Texas — The Hays County Sheriff's Office found a dead man in Buda while responding to a welfare check on Thursday, authorities said.
At approximately 8:30 a.m., deputies responded to the 200 block of Brandons Way in Buda and discovered the man's body.
Authorities identified the man on Friday as 36-year-old Brandon Lamont Fontenette. Police have ruled Fontenette's death as a homicide. The investigation is ongoing, police said.
