Austin zoo reenacts Jurassic World 'raptor training'

In the famed scene from Jurassic World, actor Chris Pratt plays Owen Grady, a dinosaur keeper who trains a group of vicious velociraptors to obey commands. Now real zoo keepers are recreating the scene with walruses, penguins and now Galapagos Tortoises from an Austin area zoo.
From Austin Zoo and Animal Sanctuary's Facebook: "The top photo shows actor Chris Pratt in the new Jurassic World movie as he tries to train three Velociraptors. Austin Zookeeper Chris, in the bottom photo, shows how to train the world's largest species of tortoise, our Galapagos Tortoises Gertie, Muffett and Wheezy!"

AUSTIN -- As Jurassic World continues to rock the box office a little over a week since the film released, zoo keepers from around the nation have been reenacting Chris Pratt's raptor training scene. And they're taking to social media with the photos.

In the famed scene from Jurassic World, actor Chris Pratt plays Owen Grady, a dinosaur keeper who trains a group of vicious velociraptors to obey commands. Now real zoo keepers are recreating the scene with walruses, penguins and now Galapagos Tortoises from an Austin area zoo.

In a photo shared on Facebook and Twitter from the Austin Zoo and Animal Sanctuary, the caption reads: "Austin Zookeeper Chris shows how to train the world's largest species of tortoise, our Galapagos Tortoises Gertie, Muffett and Wheezy!"
