Several members of the Austin Police Department attended a high school graduation ceremony Friday to show their support for graduate Mati Abdul-Khaliq, whose father, Amir, died earlier this year while serving the APD.
In a video shared by the APD, Mati, a graduate of McNeil High School, can be seen walking the stage in his robes and greeting nearly 20 officers with a hug and a handshake.
