Austin police arrest suspects in armed robbery at gas station on East Oltorf

The men entered the store, demanded money and pointed a gun at the store employee. They then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash

AUSTIN — The Austin Police Department confirmed Wednesday that they have arrested the two men who were involved in a robbery at the Valero gas station at 2222 East Oltorf Street on Dec. 27.

The men entered the store, demanded money and pointed a gun at the store employee. They then fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Austin police had previously asked for the public's help identifying the men, giving out these descriptions:

One of the men is described by APD as being Hispanic, in his mid-teens to early 20s. He is between approximately five foot six inches and five foot eight inches tall and weighs between approximately 110 and 120 pounds. He has short, dark hair and a dark mustache/goatee. He was last seen wearing a black and white jacket, black and white pants, a white t-shirt and white tennis shoes.

The other man is described as being either Hispanic or African American, in his mid-teens to early 20s. He is between approximately five foot six inches and five foot eight inches tall and weighs between approximately 110 and 120 pounds. He has short, dark hair and a clean-shaven face. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie, white pants and black tennis shoes.
