WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas — Law enforcement is asking for help in gathering information about a deadly shooting that happened last week outside of Austin.
According to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office (WCSO), 25-year-old Matthew Torres was shot and killed on May 17 at the Tides on Copper Creek apartments on Copper Creek Drive near Highway 183.
Now, members of the WCSO are searching for additional information to try and learn more about what they believe to be an isolated occurrence. While there is currently no threat to the public, detectives will be searching for details on Friday at the apartment complex. Residents should expect a high police presence.
