How to rest better at night with a sleep study

If you're looking to get a better night's sleep, a sleep study might be able to help you out.

A sleep study is a great way to determine what's causing you to sleep poorly.

Doctors measure many vital signs including heart rate and blood pressure. They also measure brain activity, eye movement and breathing.

These measurements are taken over the period of one night and used to figure out what is keeping you up at night.

Disorders like sleep apnea can also be diagnosed using a sleep study.

Dr Edward Ortiz is board certified in sleep medicine and he says that there can be many issues that develop from a lack of sleep including obesity, heart disease and high blood pressure.
