'The Conners' cast appear in 'People' magazine, discuss Roseanne controversy

The new issue of "People" magazine featuring "The Conners" cast hit stands on Oct. 3.

Former "Roseanne" cast members Sara Gilbert, John Goodman and Laurie Metcalf appeared on the cover of the latest issue of "People" magazine.

The actors are promoting the upcoming ABC spinoff series "The Conners" after the controversial exit of lead actress Roseanne Bar.

In the issue, Metcalf, Goodman and Gilbert open up about the real story behind the cancelation of "Roseanne." The issue hit stands on Oct. 3.

The rebooted "Roseanne" series was canceled after Barr posted a tweet aimed at Obama White House adviser Valerie Jarrett, which much of the world deemed racist. The tweet read: "muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj."

She later blamed the post on Ambien, stating, "It was 2 in the morning and I was ambien tweeting-it was memorial day too."
