AUSTIN -- The Travis County Sheriff's Office has released the names of the detectives involved in a fatal shooting on Monday night.

According to the sheriff's office, the shooting happened at 13712 Maye Place near Interstate 35 and Howard Lane, just east of Metric Boulevard.

The sheriff's office said members of the FBI's Violent Crimes Task Force, which consists of officers from the Austin Police Department, the Round Rock Police Department and the FBI, were serving a warrant when a shooting occurred. Tyler Caraway, 24, was taken to Round Rock Medical Center, where he later died. None of the officers were injured.

According to the Travis County Sheriff's Office, the officers who fired shots were detectives Scott Glasgow and Phillip Hogue from the Austin Police Department and Det. Shawn Scott with the Round Rock Police Department.

Glasgow was involved in another fatal police shooting in June 2003 that led to his indictment on a charge of criminally negligent homicide. Glasgow fatally shot Jesse Lee Owens after police said he became trapped in the door of a car Owens was driving. Then, Owens dragged him down the street. A judge later dismissed the charge, but Glasgow served a 90-day suspension for his actions.

The Austin Police Department, the Travis County Sheriff's Office and the FBI are investigating Monday's shooting.

Criminal records show Caraway had past arrests for driving while intoxicated, marijuana possession and resisting arrest.
