Police name woman killed in hit-and-run on North Lamar

CPR was administrated on the 37-year-old, but she was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

AUSTIN, Texas — A woman killed in a hit-and-run on North Lamar Thursday night has been named by police.

Blair Dismukes, 37, was crossing mid-block in the 8100 block of the street when she was struck and killed. Another pedestrian had minor injuries.

Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) responded around 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

CPR was administered, but Dismukes was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the driver of the vehicle drove away after hitting the woman.

Police do not have a description of the vehicle at this time, beyond that it was a four-door vehicle.

Police said they have spoken with two possible witnesses and that this is an ongoing investigation. The investigation is being sent to the Vehicular Homicide Division.
