ROUND ROCK, Texas -- Police arrested a couple Saturday when multiple people saw them drunkenly pushing a stroller with two children between the ages of one and two in and along a busy street in Round Rock.

According to the affidavit, a witness called 911 after seeing the couple stumbling and pushing the stroller northbound on Settlement Drive at around 6:30 p.m. When the officer arrived, he found the couple walking along Meadow Park Drive. The man, Robert Gregory Gibson, was walking with one leg in the street and one on the grass between the curb and the sidewalk, attempting to push the stroller on the sidewalk.

When the officer called out to the man, he continued walking and appeared not to hear the officer. The woman stumbling alongside him, Cynthia Ann Gibson, said, "Oh, no," and got the man's attention, the affidavit said. When the couple stopped for questioning, they admitted that they had consumed several shots of alcohol earlier. As they spoke, the couple slurred their speech and the officer noticed their eyes were bloodshot and they had a lack of physical coordination.

The officer also spoke with witnesses who said that they saw the man pushing the stroller in the street -- which the officer said based on his knowledge is a busy one -- and almost tipped the stroller over multiple times.

The couple was charged with endangering a child. CPS confirmed to KVUE the pair are grandparents of the children in the stroller.
