Single-family homesite in Rainey Street district lists for $10 million

The 1945 bungalow sits on a 3,375-square-foot lot.

AUSTIN, Texas — One of the last remaining single-family homes located in the Rainey Street district has officially hit the market with a $10 million listing price, according to a report from Towers realty.

The report states the 1945 bungalow located at 701 River Street sits on a 3,375-square-foot lot.

Tower reports that the owner, Jesse Alba, decided to stick around in the neighborhood despite all the commercial growth that has rapidly changed the area since city zoning changes in 2005.

The report also states that Alba has lived in the home for more than 50 years and is the second longtime resident of the district to leave in recent years.

In 2019, a home located on 71 Rainey Street made headlines when it's owner decided to sell out. It was initially listed for $2.65 million.
