Austin athletes will soon have a new way to workout, thanks to Nike

Filings for both a Nike Training Studio and a Nike Running Studio list a March 15 completion date.

AUSTIN, Texas — A type of workout studio currently only available in California is coming to Central Texas.

According to filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), Nike Studios plans to open a Nike Training Studio at the Triangle and a Nike Running Studio at the Grove.

These will be the first Nike Studios concepts of their kind to open outside of California. Nike Studios currently has locations in Newport Beach and West Hollywood, with plans to expand to Santa Monica.

Nike Training Studios focus on HIIT, strength building and metabolic conditioning workouts, with three types of classes to help make the process easier. Force, Max and Metcon sessions each focus on different muscles and movements, including shoulder presses, hip thrusters, lunges, rows, jumps, swings and more depending on the type of conditioning.

Similarly, Nike Running Studios also offer training sessions, with treadmill and floor workouts that include a Nike Running Studio Pace Screen to create a more immersive experience.

According to Nike, "Nike Studios is for all athletes, from seasoned gym veterans to those just beginning their fitness journeys. Each workout is designed for members to go at their own pace."

The TDLR filings for both studios list a March 15 completion date.

Presale to reserve a spot as a Founding Member begins at $49 and includes a T-shirt, gift card, drawstring bag and water bottle. Memberships are scheduled on a monthly basis, allowing for cancellations within 10 days before upcoming payment periods.

Drop-in classes are also available for those who might not be interested in a full-time membership.

From beginners to professionals, Nike's new studio experiences plan to provide unique workout opportunities to a wide range of Austin athletes.
