AUSTIN, Texas — Heads up to drivers in North Austin: some more delays are coming in July.
Braker Lane will close for six days, from July 7 until July 12, while a new Capital Metro rail station is built right outside of Q2 Stadium.
The purpose of the new station, which will be named McKalla Place Station, is to make Q2 Stadium easier for fans to access on Austin FC gamedays. Currently, fans disembark at Kramer Station and have to walk more than a half-mile to get to get to the stadium.
The new rail station is set to begin operation this fall.
A map of detours during construction can be found here.
