AUSTIN, Texas — The weekend is upon us and, as always, there are a ton of things going on in the Austin area! From comedy to kites, there's no shortage of fun activities happening over the next few days.
Here’s a breakdown of just some of the events you can attend this weekend.
Moontower Comedy Festival is officially underway! The annual two-week festival kicked off Wednesday and continues through April 21. The event rounds up a wide variety of well-known comedians, up-and-coming artists and local talent to perform at various venues.

When: through April 21
Where: Venues include the Paramount Theatre, State Theatre, H-E-B Center at Cedar Park, Cap City Comedy Club, The Creek and the Cave, Bass Concert Hall and more.
MotoGP will take over the Circuit of the Americas this weekend! Single-day and 3-day pass tickets are still available for the Grand Prix of the Americas.
When: through Sunday
Where: Circuit of the Americas, located at 9201 Circuit of the Americas Blvd.
The nation's oldest kite festival features hundreds of kites and day-long activities for all ages. The event, which is free, is in its 96th year.
In addition to a community kite showcase and contest, the festival also includes MossFest, a children's concert; Kids Club, an all-day children's activity center; and Pet Zone, an off-leash pet playground pop-up.
When: Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
