Keep Austin Local: Malone Coffee

Try out this coffee shop and roastery while supporting local!

AUSTIN, Texas — KVUE wants to help “Keep Austin Local” by highlighting local businesses, events and people that make Austin special.

On Monday, KVUE stopped by Malone Coffee, a coffee roastery and shop that opened in 2013.

The owners, Paul and Donna Malone, started roasting coffee in their backyard. They were tired of having coffee that wasn’t good and decided to roast their own. Their business grew to multiple locations around the Austin area. Their motto is, “Coffee should be so good you can drink it black.”

The owners say their community and the Wells Branch neighborhood rallied behind their business to keep their coffee shop and roastery open during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

They offer lattes, cold brew, and other fresh-roasted coffee drinks along with breakfast croissant sandwiches. They have specialty drinks as well, including the Austin Dream, which is their version of a mocha, and the Southside Caramel, which is a cinnamon-infused caramel latte.

They offer free doorstep delivery with their coffee beans for those within 14 miles of their roastery in North Austin when purchased through the website. For the month of July, they offer a free drink card with each online bean delivery order placed through the site as well.

There are four Malone Coffee locations, two coffee trailers downtown, one coffee trailer in Wells Branch, and a brick-and-mortar location where they roast coffee. You can find them online here.
